Dr Brian Gwilliam (1935-2011) Memorial Scholarship.

 

Dr Brian Gwilliam was a 1963 Palmer Graduate who spent almost fifty years dedicated to the profession. He was a founder member of SOTO Europe certifying as a craniopath in 1996. Dr Gwilliam was made a fellow of the College of Chiropractors Craniopathy Faculty and the BCA. In addition, Dr Gwilliam also served as president of the BCA and SOTO Europe. In memory of his extraordinary career and dedication to the profession, SOTO Europe is sponsoring an annual scholarship in his name.

 

What are the terms of the scholarship?

The scholarship funds the fees for two SOTO Europe seminars in the UK.

Who can apply?

SOTO Europe invites applications from all practicing chiropractors and final year students currently attending a chiropractic college in the UK or a european chiropractic college.

What is involved in applying for the scholarship?

Applicants are required to answer the following question in no more than 250 words.

"Why do you want to study Sacro Occipital Technique?"

The award will be biased towards those in need of financial assistance. Applicants must also write a short paragraph of no more than 30 words describing their financial situation (eg you are a self-supporting student or in your first year of practice). Applicants should demonstrate credits and achievements at college or elsewhere in this paragraph.

When is the deadline for application and where do I send it to?

Applications should be submitted electronically to info@sotoeurope.org by the 2nd January each year.

Who decides the winner?

The members of the SOTO Europe Board will decide the winner during the first two weeks of January every year.

When will the winner be notified?

 The winner will be notified shortly after and may attend the January Seminar. They will be announced annually at the SOTO Europe AGM and Dinner.
